Train Girls & Women as Menstrual Cup ambassadors and create livelihoods in Madhya Pradesh

Why women in Madhya Pradesh need reliable menstrual health information

Auleaves Freedom Circle Foundation has reached more than 8,000 women and girls with menstrual health education and supported more than 5,400 women with menstrual cups and follow-up. Now we plan to train at least 500 women in Madhya Pradesh as Menstrual Cup Ambassadors over 12 months, so women in their own communities have a trained local person to ask.

Who we are ?

Auleaves is a menstrual health initiative incubated at IIT Madras’ RTBI and NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore . In Indore, our education sessions have authorisation from the District Education Office for schools and colleges. We also work with community organisations and institutional partners to reach women in different settings.

What we are building in Madhya Pradesh ?

Over 12 months, we plan to train at least 500 women as Menstrual Cup Ambassadors. Ambassadors will learn about menstrual health, cup use, hygiene, cleaning and storage, and the concerns women raise most often. They will then run community sessions and answer questions from women in their own villages and neighbourhoods.

Our team will guide ambassadors as they run sessions and follow up with women who have questions about cups.

Income from knowledge and skill

The programme creates two ways for women to earn:

  • Cup sales commissions. Ambassadors earn commissions on eligible menstrual cup sales under a transparent payment structure. They help women understand the product before deciding whether to buy.
  • Paid potli stitching. Auleaves kits include cloth potlis. We will commission local women to stitch them at agreed rates.

Where your donation goes

Your donation will support:

  • Ambassador training and educational materials
  • Demonstration kits
  • Community sessions and local travel
  • Follow-up with participants
  • Setting up and coordinating the potli stitching work
  • Programme monitoring

We keep records of programme spending, women trained and reached, sessions held, commissions paid and stitching work commissioned. Where participants agree, we also record their feedback and whether they continue using cups.

Why it matters ?

Menstrual health education helps women make informed decisions about their own bodies. Ambassadors from the same communities can make reliable information easier to reach, and paid work gives women a way to earn from what they know and what they can make with their hands.

Support today

Your support can train women as menstrual health ambassadors, put reliable information in more hands and create work in local communities.
